Options Quote Breakdown

An options quote has four characteristics:

Underlying Stock: This refers to the particular stock to which the option is related such as IBM or Microsoft.
Expiration Date: The last day that the option may be traded.
Option Type: This would be either call or put.
Strike Price: For example, an Apple option quote may have the form of AAPL January 130 Call.
